The U.S. Consulate in Mumbai, India had errneously reported that for the month of February 2011, the EB-2 Category for India will become current.

While this would be extremely good news for many of our clients patiently waiting for their dates to become current, this visa bulletin is wrong.
The U.S. Department of State's official February 2011 Visa Bulletin can be found here. EB-2 India shows a priority date of May 8, 2006.

All other PDs are listed below:
EB-2 China: 07/01/2006
EB-3 All Other: 04/01/2005
EB-3 China: 01/01/2004
EB-3 India: 02/22/2002

ReplyDeleteThey donot even think about us .
If You are a nurse or if you know any nurse friends who have been abandoned by their sponsors/petitioners in recent years. If they already have established priority dates either in 2005 or 2006 but now have no sponsor, you can refer them to me , and I will pay you a fee of $ 400 on each nurse you refer ,if they meet our recruitment criteria

10 days movement for PH hahaha.
ReplyDeleteMust be lots of nurse dependents like husbands/wives, children (adopted or not) being allocated visas.
That's why very few trickle down to real RNs.
This looks like a huge UNAVAILABLE for PH in the next few months as RN dependents gobble up the few available for FY 2011.
No such thing as luck. Just the visa numbers and cold mathematics.
And as beggars for the greencard, you can only WAIT.
Nobody forced you to take up nursing, and the greencard is not a right nor a privilege.
...i think its about priorities by the government of US..by making their citizens as their priorities than foreigners...i think they have to fill up the hospitals by their graduates...i thinks it's the reason why. If only the US economy is going better, they probably more jobs openings for nurses..its a cycle..
ReplyDeleteI HAVE THE FOLLOWING DOUBTS :
ReplyDelete1. IS IT POSSIBLE TO RENEW AN EXPIRED VISA SCREEN ?
2. FOR VISA SCREEN RENEWAL, ONLY IELTS IS REQUIRED OR WE HAVE SEND THE NURSING COUCNIL APPROVAL ALSO AGIAN ?
3. EVEN IF WE RENEW THE VISA SCREEN, IF NOTHING HAPPENS IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS AGAIN IT IS A WASTE
4. IS IT NECESSARY THAT VISA SCREEN SHOULD BE THERE AT THE TIME OF EMBASSY INTERVIEW ? ANYBODY HAS ANY EXPERIENCE ?
PLEASE CLARIFY MY DOUBTS
My family is also waiting here for 5 yrs now, our priority date is oct 2005...this month is when our documents will expire. I heard on the other blogger that visa screen cert will only be needed during the filing in USCIS. According to that blog, b4 the time of their visa interview their visa screen was already been expired...he also mentioned that the consul never asked for the copy nor asked to see the said cert. Still don't sure if this is a case to case basis.
ReplyDeleteIt's been 5 yrs now that almost everyday i always go into this page in order to gain updates. But never heard that the US goverment tried to discuss the renewing issues...meaning they don't care about it for we are the one who needs them even technically they are still have shortage of nurses and PT's out there.
Anybody knows as to when is the VisaScreen certificate needed? Is it in the case filing or during the consular interview for the issuance of immigrant visa in favor of a healthcare worker? Any answer shall be highly appreciated. Thanks very much.
ReplyDeleteto Jean
ReplyDeletevisacreen certificate is needed on the day of interview .I had a friend who did not have this certificate but her file was approved and after that she could pass the ielts exam with 7 in speaking and she could get her visa screen .THerefore, on the day of the interview she is ready.
Hope it will help you
I will not renew my visa screen, not yet that is, will see what happens.
ReplyDeleteTo negaresh,
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for the info.
I'm entertaining the idea not to renew my VisaSacreen certificate that expires in May this year. Anybody knows the consequences should I push through with that plan of not renewing it? Thanks.
