The July Visa Bulletin was released today, and for those of you hoping for a big jump forward with the EB-3 numbers for the Philippines, you will be disappointed again as the numbers only moved to Aug 15, 2003.
However, there is good news buried in the bulletin. The Department of State is projecting that the dates for EB-3 cases from the Philippines will advance to mid-2004 by September. This projection, coupled with the I-485 inventory report released earlier, gives hope to further movement of EB-3 Filipino priority dates in 2010.
It also suggests that the projection HLG made in December of 2009, that all of the 2004 priority dates and a portion of the 2005 priority dates would become current in calendar year 2010, may actually be accurate and was not just the wishful thinking of a mathematically challenged immigration lawyer.

JANUARY 2010 VISA BULLETIN-possible cut off date before fiscal year ends-august 2005

to become current, SCHEDULE A RELIEF SHOULD BE DONE ASAP, ITS THE ONLY HOPE THAT NURSES WHO ARE STUCKED WITH ENDLESS VISA BACKLOG CAN GET THEIR IMIGRANT VISAS
I agree to that...I think the best solution to this is to activate the SCHEDULE A. Which in my opinion would give better relief for the backlog and possible creating job opportunities since America still in shortage of Nurses.
ReplyDeleteAt least the bloggers are becoming more sophisticated and smart. But think about these facts for a moment: the US sad to say is slowly inching up from the worst recession in 7 decades but everyday paints a different picture from yesterday. Somedays it is half full somedays it is half empty.
ReplyDeletebut facts are written on the wall, high unemployment rate (as high as 13% in some states, new US nursing grads are finding it hard to get a job(even CGFNS is in agreement with this reality, but you know CGFNS, they admitted, but they said it was anecdotal. Really strange since this agency should be telling the truth up front) and the mood for any immigration reform or schedule A for that matter this year is like saying that oil spill in the gulf is at 3 gallons a day.
Im writing this because, I was a victim of believing the facts that some bloggers presented as facts eventhough it were a product of the pigments of their imaginations and those persons, I think, were in antipsychotic and in anti anxiety drugs. And I am in black hole shit right now because of that and I am trying to warn other people to avoid my mistakes and look for alternative because I have nothing right now. With regards to schedule A, we have a saying about that in filipino "Asa kapa", in english: you wish! In Cebuano, kumot nalang ka ug tae kay manimaho pa!
You dont want me actually to translate that.
Atleast it's moving......
ReplyDeletethank you God... this is good news for all of us...my line again... hoping for more positive results..
ReplyDeleteat least... thank you for the update!
ReplyDeleteif hammond's projections become a reality then 2006 priority dates will have a chance to become current either by late 2011 to middle of 2012. Hmmm.... wake me up when we get there i'll be here waiting.
ReplyDeleteHaha! by that time, i wouldn't even know if i still would wish to migrate to the US. by that time, I must have finished my master's here in Australia and settled. The US influence is waning. Not too far, everybody would want to go to China.Lol
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Ha atleast it's moving.......
ReplyDeleteWhat is happening? Why Immigration lawyers are not making any efforts? Why are thay not making any efforts to introduce / attach Schedule A to any of the Bills?
ReplyDeleteAccording to some sources of information the President and senators are in the mood of passing piece meal legislation including CIR.
Hah! with this pace I and most of us will have to wait for 5-7 years to get Greened, HLG is this your PR just like DOS/USCIS?
ReplyDeleteLike candidate Obama, you guys have been promising Schedule A relief effort for long long time but what happened to the effort? or Are you guys are on the same line with Congress CIR Or nothing? Come ON you can do it better?
I will have to agree with most of the fellow that its atleast moving but I will have to point you that few months back DHS/DOS estimated EB3 ROW/Philippines would be some where around 2005/2006 but now came down to 2004, here is my question to you, do you still trust DOS/USCIS estimate?
Finally, Blogs are for 2 way communications, I have seen so many poster asking questions but I dont see you guys responding to them, you guys are acting just like USCIS (the Beacon) just for PR.
Not that I dont appreciate your work, but I think the very non-controversial thing to do for LEGAL (all category) would be visa-recapture, and for Schedule A, bring back the category in Monthly VISA bulletin and I think since you guys are doing lots of lobbying, I dont think it will be that hard to convince lawmakers and add an amendment to any bills that is under consideration.
There is nothing we can do.Atleast it's moving.......
ReplyDeleteThank God....august 2005!
ReplyDeletei just wanna ask this...what if the priority dates are current, what does this mean? Will Visa be issued already to those with current PD? I am asking this because i have heard and seen some posts that some PD's are already current for more than a year yet, they are still waiting for their visa.
ReplyDeletehey, ne1 hu's knowlegeable bout priority dates?
ReplyDeletejadee...Once your priority date becomes current, NVC will process your papers and once you completed your requirements at the NVC they will forward your papers at the embassy for an interview. On my case, my papers were already forwarded to the embassy, then its very unfortunate that the visa became unavailable. So I have again to wait for my PD to become current. But once it will be current the embassy will send a letter of interview and the date of interview will still be 2 months after it is current. So which means once your PD is current and your case is still at the NVC, you have to wait approximately 6 months until you can get your date of interview. But pray that within that 6 months of waiting for your interview, your PD will not retrogress or visa will become unavailable. Or else you will have the same fate as mine.
ReplyDeleteIts been a long time and i have a lot of things to share, but i will try to keep it simple... Unemployment rate here in the US is in all time low, in CA alone it is 12% some say its really 18% and its almost the same in other states... So, basically they dont need Sched A, locals are the first priority. Try to ask your friends in the US i bet they say the same...
